چکیده

The paper is devoted to the problem of estimating marine current velocity from microwave radar data, one important tasks sea remote sensing. We present some results simultaneous measurements scatterers velocities and wind velocities. Radar were measured using a dual-polarized (VV/HH) Doppler operating in S/C/X bands. experiments carried out coastal zone Black Sea at moderate incidence angles (30–70 degrees). It was obtained that subsurface (current upper layer ten centimeters) retrieved Bragg component return can be used estimate changes (a part not related wind) constant speed. found as vector sum depth 1 m equal 1–3% Possibilities VV/HH/PD data are analyzed.

Estimation of Ocean Current Velocity near Incheon using Radarsat-1 SAR and HF-radar Data

This paper presents the results of the ocean surface current velocity estimation using 6 Radarsat-1 SAR images acquired in west coastal area near Incheon. We extracted the surface velocity from SAR images based on the Doppler shift approach in which the azimuth frequency shift is related to the motion of surface target in the radar direction. The Doppler shift was measured by the difference bet...

Experimental Studies on Savonius-type Vertical Axis Turbine for Low Marine Current Velocity

Renewable energy resources need to be explored to maintain and meet energy demand and replace the slowly depleting fossil fuels.  Malaysia, surrounded by sea with long coastlines, is poised to exploit the potential of this energy. This research work aims at designing a suitable device to extract energy from Malaysian sea current.  Malaysia’s ocean has a low current velocity averaging 0.56 m/s, ...

Simulation of sea surface current velocity from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data

This study is done to solve the Doppler spectra equation by involving two -dimensional Fourier transform (2DFFT) to obtain a linear formula of sea radial component. The problem of influence of bandwidth on imaging moving ocean surface is analytically solved. Based on the maximum peak of Doppler spectra, the horizontal surface current is computed. The Doppler spectra model has been performed in ...

a study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market

the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.

On Shipboard Marine X-Band Radar Near-Surface Current ‘‘Calibration’’

The ocean wave signatures within conventional noncoherent marine X-band radar (MR) image sequences can be used to derive near-surface current information. On ships, an accurate near-real-time record of the near-surface current could improve navigational safety. It could also advance understanding of air–sea interaction processes. The standard shipboard MR near-surface current estimates were fou...
